Lifemax Celebrates Another Global Director: Elizabeth Eckhardt
Just one month after our annual conference, SHINE 2011, Lifemax is still seeing a steady flow of rank advancements. We are thrilled to celebrate our newest Global Director, Elizabeth “Diz” Eckhardt from Mill Valley, CA. Sponsored by powerhouse couple Thymes Two, Inc. (better known as Mary Barber and Sara Whiteford), Elizabeth is yet another rising star from the West Coast whose life has been forever changed by the Lifemax opportunity. Find out how for yourself below as Elizabeth shares her personal story about her rise to Global.
I joined the Lifemax community two years ago in December 2009 and it’s been an amazing and very unexpected journey. Having been an event producer for 15 years with a successful business, I never ever saw myself in the network marketing industry. I didn’t even know what it was. My dear friends Sara & Mary introduced me to Mila because we shared a passion for healthy eating. I experienced amazing health benefits and immediately joined the business. Keep in mind this was the early days of Lifemax before attractive and articulate Powerpoint presentations, CD tools and our fancy Lifemax website and back office.
It was my excitement and passion for Mila that launched my first year. I had great success enrolling people; however, the majority ended up not being very active and I was experiencing a lot of challenges and frustrations and started to question whether or not I could succeed. I remember sitting at Katie Fredricksen’s dining room table 10 months ago discussing where I was with my business and what was really holding me back from my success. I had come to Katie to let her know I was probably going to take on some production work and put my Mila business on hold. After our discussion, a few things were very clear to me : I WAS going to succeed with my Lifemax business, I TRULY believed in Mila and what it could do for people’s health and my family’s financial future, and this WAS what I wanted to be doing–and who I wanted to be doing it with– no matter what. And in order to do this I needed to stay focused, to be open to some coaching, and to perhaps take a new approach to help me get to where I needed to be.
I decided to roll up my sleeves and dive in deeper. I become a student of the industry, focused on revenue producing activities, spent a lot of time with my Mila community and expanding it, joined a leadership call, and started working with a coach.
I believe it was a combination of all these actions and really stepping outside my comfort zone that helped me build my business and inspire a team. Through this work, I realized some key things that I’d like to share with people today when they join the business.
- Come from an authentic place. Talk about what motivates you with the business and product. This is different for everyone.
- Find your own voice. Every leader in this company has their own unique approach to this business and that was a key factor for me. How did I want to attract people? How did I want to lead my team? What felt natural and inspiring to me? What may work well for someone in my upline might be very different for me.
- Tap into your community as often as you can each week. I joined a weekly leadership call, worked with an accountability partner and attended or hosted weekly meetings.
- Prospect, Follow-up & Self-develop: I broke my week down into these 3 categories and just followed this system daily.
- Positive Outlook. Look at negative feedback as an opportunity to grow and fine-tune something. This is an emotional business and if you can reframe negative into a positive you will have much more fun with your business and attract people.
- Set Goals. I write down my goals every 3 months, then pin them up in my office so I see them every day and go after it.
I am extremely grateful for my amazing Mila community and to work with such incredible people daily. I have made some incredible new life-long friends. I owe much of my success to Katie Fredricksen, Mary Barber and Sara Whiteford. I feel blessed to be a part of a company with the heartfelt vision of Jim & Sherri and the wonderful Home Office team. I am excited about our future and how we are touching people’s lives locally, nationally and globally!
“As our very first personally-sponsored distributor in the Lifemax organization, Mary and I have not only a soft spot for Elizabeth, but a very deep respect. Elizabeth is a true role model on our team, as well as a wonderful friend. When the going got tough early on, she stuck with it and persevered. It wasn’t always easy! Elizabeth continues to attract amazing people into our organization and she deserves to bask in the glory of her new rank. Congratulations, Elizabeth and thank you for all the wonderful people you have brought to our lives. And cheers to your ongoing success and our friendship!!” Love, Sara Whiteford and Mary Barber
