<p>The Lifemax Corporate Team went to the <a href="http://floridasbloodcenters.org">Florida Blood Center</a> on Tuesday and donated blood for National Blood Donor Month. One pint of blood can save up to three lives and someone needs a blood tranfusion every 2 seconds. </p>
<p>If only one more percent of all Americans would give blood, blood shortages in the U.S. would disappear for the foreseeable future. So go out today and do your part by joining the Lifemax Corporate Team in helping to provide this valuable resource to someone whose health depends on it.</p>

<p>Brown the meat and drain the grease. Add the cans of tomato sauce, kidney beans, diced tomatoes and chili seasoning packet. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Then add a scoop of Mila about 15 minutes before you serve it. The Mila will thicken up the chili.</p>
<p>Add cheese, sour cream and/or Fritos if you like!</p>

A teacher of 30 years and an honorary New York City police and fire surgeon, Dr. Lamm regularly offers his analyses and comments on a wide variety of health- and medicine-related topics on television and radio, including Oprah, Lifetime Today, The Today Show Live, and LX New York. He has authored several books, including bestseller Thinner at Last and his latest book, The Hardness Factor.</p>
<p>Dr. Lamm resides in New York City where he maintains his seat at the frontier of medicine. He joined the Lifemax Health Science Advisory Council with a goal of investigating the effects of Mila on cardiovascular function. Dr. Lamm believes that 80% of illnesses can be prevented with lifestyle changes, and he continuously strives to help his patients understand the difference between illness and wellness, stating that, “The absence of illness does not mean you’re well. <h1>Glazed Chocolate-Avocado MILA Cupcakes</h1>

<p>Avocado replaces the eggs and most of the oil in a rich, chocolaty batter that turns into these super-moist, super-delicious, SUPER-HEALTHY baked goodies.</p>
<h4>To make cupcakes:</h4>
<p>Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and MILA in a bowl. Purée the avocado in food processor until smooth. Add maple syrup, soy milk, oil and vanilla, and blend until creamy. Combine the avocado mixture into the flour mixture until smooth.</p>
<p>Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.</p>
<p>Spoon batter into each cupcake cups. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with some crumbs attached – you’re ready!</p>
<h4>To make glaze:</h4>
<p>Blend the tofu, maple syrup, vanilla and salt in food processor until smooth. Add chocolate and MILA to tofu mixture and blend until smooth. Transfer to bowl. Dip tops of Cupcakes into Glaze, pulling straight up from Glaze to form peaks.</p>
<p><em>Makes 12 cupcakes</em></p>
<h4>Cupcake Ingredients</h4>
<ul>
<li>1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour</li>
<li>3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder</li>
<li>1 tsp. baking powder</li>
<li>3/4 tsp. baking soda</li>
<li>3/4 tsp. salt</li>
<li>1 avocado, pitted and peeled</li>
<li>1 cup pure maple syrup</li>
<li>3/4 cup plain soy milk</li>
<li>1/3 cup canola oil</li>
<li>2 tsp. vanilla extract</li>
<li>1 scoop MILA</li>
</ul>
<h4>Glaze</h4>
<ul>
<li>1/4 block soft silken tofu (from 14-oz container), drained and patted dry (this is important or glaze will be watery)</li>
<li>3 Tbls. pure maple syrup</li>
<li>1/2 tsp. vanilla extract</li>
<li>1/10 tsp. salt</li>
<li>4 oz. semisweet vegan chocolate, melted</li>
<li>1 scoop MILA</li>
</ul>
