Lifemax Offers New HealthCheck
Lifemax is pleased to announce their partnership with Direct Laboratory Services in offering our new service called HealthCheck. DirectLabs is the leader in direct access laboratory testing, offering a wide variety of important health and wellness blood chemistry tests online at discounted prices up to 80% off! An online lab locator system makes finding one of the more than 3,000 Patient Service Centers available from coast-to-coast simple and convenient.
Confidential results are available online through your own private and secure (and HIPAA compliant) portal in as little as 24 hours. Your private portal is where you access your orders, print your lab requisition and retrieve your results. Recommended Lifemax Basic and Follow-up panels are featured, in addition to a full line of more than 500 available tests. Taking greater control of your health is what Lifemax is all about.
Knowing that it’s difficult to manage what you don’t measure, you now have a valuable validation tool to measure your results, as well as those you love. Aside from enjoying significant savings, why not simply go through your doctor for lab work?
1. Your private MyDLS portal allows you to order lab work without having to go to your physician and paying for an office visit or a co-pay, or being turned down for reimbursement by your insurance company because they won’t cover an additional test.
2. Your portal stores all your results, allowing you to compare results at any time, putting you in control!
3. Lab results can be printed only by the person registered on the portal (or sent to your doctor at your request) making your lab results completely private and not part of your formal medical records unless you choose.
Look for a direct link on the toolbar of your Lifemax self-replicated website that will take you and your customers and prospects directly to the DirectLabs page. Or, simply use www.directlabs.com/lifemax to access this valuable service.
DirectLabs is not intended to replace your primary care physician. Testing is preventative, intended for education and not diagnostic reasons. Your results will be reviewed by the DirectLabs Medical Director, and you will receive out-of-range alerts when necessary. However, all lab results, and especially those which are abnormal, should be followed up with your doctor.
Lifemax Annual Conference 2009
The first Lifemax Annual Conference was held on November 13 and 14, 2009 at the Doubletree Resort on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. Hundreds of independent distributors from across the country and the globe joined our founders Jim and Sherri Wear, Paul Rogers, CEO, Jerry “JY” Yerke, VP of Sales, and the field leaders to celebrate Lifemax’s first anniversary.
The weekend’s festivities centered on the primary theme of “Change Your World” and all of the speakers and their topics reflected the core theme.
On Friday night, guests entered the ballroom through custom signage flanking the doors. Once inside, everyone was on hand for the unveiling of a brand new business opportunity presentation delivered by Paul Rogers. Following an outstanding motivational speech by Lifemax favorite, Simon Bailey (www.simontbailey.com), distributors and guests enjoyed light hors d’oeuvres as they mingled with the Wears, Dr. Wayne Coates and other Corporate executives.
The general session was a non-stop flow of information. Our VP of sales, Jerry “JY” Yerke acted as emcee for the event and upped the audience participation with a series of “Did You Knows?” throughout the day. Early on in the day, distributor Rachel Garcia hosted the Doctors’ Panel which featured Dr. Atul Gupta, emergency physician, Dr. Mark Luckie, chiropractor, Dr. Mitchell Davis, gastroenterologist and Dr. Teresa Ford, rheumatologist. Each doctor relayed information on the benefits of Mila especially as it pertains to their own practice, which resulted in an extremely informative discussion.
No Lifemax event would be complete without exciting new announcements! Director of Operations, Mike Battistelli and Director of Information Technology, Jonathan Ducos showed a retrospective of “then and now,” including of slideshow of the past versions of the Lifemax Corporate websites. To illustrate that Lifemax is constantly improving, Ducos introduced a new feature of the replicated websites – an enhanced toolbar with icons and the ability to customize personal information, including uploading a short bio and photograph! The toolbar included an extra special link – the HealthCheck.
The HealthCheck is a partnership between Lifemax and Direct Laboratory Services, Inc. This partnership will allow distributors, customers and guests to take their health into their own hands by offering special pricing on a number of blood panels. No prescription is required! It’s as easy as logging on to www.DirectLabs.com/lifemax , setting up a new account and then taking the lab requisition to a participating lab! Through the month of November, enjoy extra savings of 25% off of the published prices by entering lifemax in the coupon code. A brochure and complete price guide is available for download in the BMS Resource Center.
The last major announcement of the day highlighted the changes to the compensation plan. These enhancements are the result of a one-year analysis of the compensation plan metrics with a focus on delivering the best, most lucrative plan for distributors which rewards for correct activity. A new “Compensation Plan At-a-Glance” is available for download in the BMS Resource Center.
Capping off the general session, Jim and Sherri Wear took the stage to talk about something very near and dear to their hearts – the Lifemax World Vision. Photos of children at a Mozambique orphanage which is supported by Lifemax were projected onscreen to the song “Angel by Your Side,” a demo sung by Francesca Battistelli. Both images and music drew an emotional response from the crowd and our founders as they encouraged all attendees to help change someone else’s world!
The event wrapped on Saturday night with the Final Night Event and Awards Presentation. After independent distributor Virginia Isbell signified opened the event by “blowing the pu,” or native Hawaiian shell horn, Paul Rogers, JY Yerke and Jim and Sherri Wear took the stage to present the evening’s awards. Among those presented were the “big checks” for the Fall Promo winners with Anela Chung taking home the top prize of $10,000, Jonnaven Monalim taking second place of $6,500 and Kirsten Biondi, Kimi Takazawa, Joanie Miyazawa and Thalia Davis each taking home a share of third place. It was interesting to note that all of the promo’s top winners were from the burgeoning market of Hawaii! Mahalo!
Other awards included the Inspiration Awards, the Rising Star Award, Leadership Awards and the top prize, the Vision Award, which was presented to Chris Prefontaine.
Looking back, Lifemax’s first year was an eventful one with astounding growth and constant improvements. The event helped us to reconnect with some old friends while making some new ones. Our goal for all of those in attendance is that they left with a plan to make changes in a positive way that will allow them to achieve the success they so desire. Here’s looking forward to 2010!

Congratulations to Dr. Mitchell Davis
Congratulations to Dr. Mitchell Davis on the publication of his article in the August 6, 2009 issue of the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine.
The article was written in collaboration with the Duke Clinical Research Institute at Duke University Medical Center and illustrates the effects of different treatment regimens on the treatment of Hepatitis C, the number one blood borne infectious disease in the United States. Dr. Davis graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been a respected gastroenterologist in South Florida for over 18 years.

It’s All About Timing!
In network marketing, as in life, timing is everything.
Bill Gadol and Steve Turner are old friends. In fact, they’ve attended the same church in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina for years.
Bill and his wife Karen Lemacks-Gadol have been “all in” with Lifemax since Day One. Bill thought that, as a financial planner and entrepreneur, Steve would also be a perfect fit for Lifemax. With that in mind, Bill approached Steve about the opportunity and gave him the time to do the research for himself. Over the next four months, Bill continued to touch base with Steve about joining, but for some reason, he just wasn’t ready to take the next step.
All that changed one day in late July when Steve stopped Bill after church and said that he was finally ready to start his own Lifemax business.
“Call me in a week,” he said.
Bill obliged and called him back exactly a week later, and he was surprised at what he heard. Steve answered the phone, but his voice was obviously weak.
“I need you to bring me some Mila immediately,” he said.
“Of course I will,” said Bill. “Tell me where to bring it.”
Throughout the conversation, Steve related that he had been in the hospital for almost a week and was scheduled for surgery to remove his gallbladder. He had also been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Stunned by his news, Bill immediately headed to the hospital with a bag of Mila. While there he was further shocked to hear that his friend’s glucose levels were at 430, a dangerously high number that could have induced a diabetic coma.
Steve started to take the Mila immediately and is pleased to say that his recovery has been amazing and his dedication to Mila is solid. Additionally, his glucose levels have now stabilized and are consistently in the much safer 100 range.
He is now “all in” and looks forward to attending the Lifemax Annual Conference in Orlando this November.

Lifemaxers Participate in Women’s Conference
Several of our South Florida Lifemaxers participated in Vive Magazine’s First Annual Women’s Conference, which was held at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens on June 19, 2009. Tammy Burkett, Starr Wren and Gina Meyerson (pictured) manned a Lifemax booth and shared Mila with over 100 people at the event. Attendees were treated to lectures from a prestigious group of international speakers and authors, including Lifemax Independent Distributor, Edwige Gilbert, author of The Fresh Start Promise: 28 Days to Total Mind, Body, Spirit Tranformation.
“We were very happy with the outcome of the event,” said Gina Meyerson. “Not only did we introduce many new people to Mila but also to the Lifemax business opportunity.”
In addition to the Lifemax booth, attendees also browsed items related to fashion, anti-aging, wealth management, finance, nutrition, wellness, beauty and much more.
Lifemaxers Support Boston Hospital
Lifemaxers from all over Boston were thrilled to take part in the 2nd Annual Heartbreak Hill 5K Run/Walk on June 14th. A great showing of participants braved the chilly and rainy weather to attend the event which was hosted at Boston College.
Jesse Dagilis and Linda Fialkoff manned the Lifemax booth and offered runners (and walkers) samples of Mila mixed in orange juice to help replenish their energy.
“Mila was well received by the participants,” said Linda. “At the end of the day, we felt satisfied that we had exposed a good number of people to this amazing product.”
The race benefited the Franciscan Hospital for Children, a place near and dear to Chris and Kim Prefontaine’s hearts since their son Nick spent two months rehabilitating there following brain injuries sustained during a snowboarding accident.
