Running Man with the Running Food

dsc06189Congratulations to our very own, Dr. Wayne Coates for his outstanding performance in the 2009 Zane Grey Highline Trail 50-Mile Endurance Run this past April 25.

The race runs through the Tonto National Forest from Pine, AZ to Christopher Creek, AZ and is thought to be the toughest ultramarathon in the country. Even the most experienced ultramarathon runners have difficulty completing this event due to the combination of difficult terrain, heat, elevation, and tricky navigation. About 60% of the more than 100 starters actually crossed the finish line.

Despite the challenges, Dr. Coates finished 58th overall and 1st in his age group.

“This was an extremely demanding course,” said Dr. Wayne. “During the last leg of the race, which has the toughest terrain, I really had to push myself. I don’t think that I did too bad for an old guy!”

This is the fourth time that Dr. Coates has participated in the race and credits his endurance to nearly 20 years of consuming Salvia hispanica L.

Congratulations to Lifemax Independent Distributors Brian Gay and Kimberly Gay on Brian’s win at the Verizon Heritage on April 19.

Gay won his second PGA Tour title in a record-breaking show at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, S.C. He shot a 7-under 64 Sunday to set tournament marks for scoring (20-under 264), margin of victory (10 strokes) and fewest bogeys over 72 holes (two).

This win earns him at spot at next year’s Masters, which will mark his first time at Augusta National.

“I’ve had a lot of heartache not getting in that tournament, winning (and) not getting in, and missing by one spot on the money list two times,” he said. “I just figured, who cares? What’s going to happen is going to happen, just go play golf.”

It’s the latest plateau for the 37-year-old Gay, who toiled for more than a decade before notching his first career win in his 293rd start. Gay says he’s ready for his latest triumph to push him to bigger things. He “played a lot better than my results, and I just came here and blew it out,” he said. “So it was nice.”

AutoShip News You Can Use

We have added a new component to our system that will make delivery of AutoShip orders easier and less expensive for you and your Preferred Customers. Here’s how it works!

Independent Distributors or Preferred Customers now have the option to program their AutoShip orders to process Monthly or Bi-Monthly. This means that if you currently have a 2-package AutoShip scheduled to process every month, by choosing Bi-Monthly and changing the quantity to 4-packages, two very good things happen:

1. You satisfy the PBV requirement to remain “active” for the entire 60-day period in our system. In other words, ordering 4-packages every 2 months is the same as ordering 2 packages every month for the purposes of being “active.” (BV is commissioned only in the month the order is placed, however)

2. You save significantly on the cost of shipping by paying only a little more in shipping for a double-sized order, half as often!

If you or your Preferred Customers are already signed up for AutoShip, in order to change your current standing order, you will have to go to your AutoShip Manager, cancel the current program and re-create a new AutoShip.

Stop and Smell the Roses!

Hello, Lifemaxers!

I am sorry that it has been a while since I have written, but the time had come where I had to put first things first!

And I am not talking about Lifemax.

Are you surprised? Well, don’t be. Believe it or not, Lifemax is not first in my life. God is and will always be first, but a close second is my family and friends.

We’ve just returned from celebrating Logan’s first-ever Spring Break. We enjoyed a week at the beach and immediately after a little rest and relaxation, we headed off to Dallas for the April 4th Super Saturday.

Let me just share with you what was laid upon my heart while away – it was the importance of taking time to spend with family and friends.

One of my family’s favorite sayings is “Let’s take some time to stop and smell the roses.” In fact, if we were ever in danger of forgetting this, our Logan is always there reminding us to “smell roses!” We were fortunate to be able to do just that on this trip.

It’s a big life we are all called to live. We all have hopes, desires, and dreams that were placed there by God. We run in this rat race every day, and let’s be honest, some days are better than others. Some years, we achieve more than we did the year before. As we are rushing and running to pursue greatness, it is important that we don’t neglect what really matters in life. It is not cars and houses. It is not education or careers. And it is not how much money we have (or don’t have) in the bank. It is EACH OTHER! We are a gift to one another, given to us by God himself.

I want to encourage you to slow down just a little and take some time to “smell the roses,” too! Smile at your children more often. Reach for your mate’s hand for no reason at all. Leave love notes, thank yous and other notes of encouragement, just because. Pack a picnic lunch and sit with your family or friends by a lake or ocean, or even your backyard.

We did this while on vacation and the moments were priceless!

In the end, nothing else matters. Nothing, except for the impact that you make on your loved ones. Don’t put family and friends on the back burner while you are chasing your dream. Live in the moment of one of the best things we can ever have…relationships.

During our trip to Dallas, we took some time and spent it with Paul Rogers and his family. It was so wonderful to hang out for the day just as friends. For four hours, we were not the Founders of Lifemax, nor the C.E.O. We were just two families enjoying the moment and making memories and fellowshipping. We created so many special memories that the pictures will be keepsakes forever!

The point of this is that we are not promised tomorrow. We never know when it will be the last time we talk to or see those special people in our life. Don’t rush and run so fast towards achievement and money that you miss out on what’s important…each other!

With all my love,

Sherri

(P.S. Jimbo and I discovered on our trip that despite his city upbringing, Logan is a country boy at heart! Most importantly we took the time to “smell the roses.” Hope you will, too!)

Lifemax Heads North

mefestIn preparation for the Canadian Pre-launch event, a couple of Independent Distributors tested the market by exhibiting at MeFest on April 4 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The show, which was advertised as a pampering and lifestyle show for the women of today, featured over 70 exhibitors of health, home and beauty products.

“It was so much fun and the interest in Mila was unbelievable,” said Colette Ertel (pictured far left). “The show photographer had a hard time getting pictures of our booth because it was always crowded.”

Colette and her team member, Jackie Patterson (also pictured), baked 500 muffins with Mila in them and offered them to the over 400 attendees as well as samples of the product mixed in juice.

The Canadian Pre-launch event will be held on April 18 in Toronto, for more information please visit the events section of www.lifemax.net.

Why AutoShip?

One, it ensures that Mila will be delivered to your door every month – saving you the hassle of reordering from your website every four weeks! Two, in order to take advantage of every aspect of the compensation plan, an independent distributor needs to remain “active” with 60 BV every month (2 bags of Mila).

Obviously, we don’t want you to stop with your own AutoShip – we want you to gather a handful of customers who become Preferred Customers and receive their Mila each and every month as well! Remember that your Preferred Customers will be given their very own back office which allows them to make any changes they want to their order. They can simply go to their own back office, click on the AutoShip Manager and reduce, cancel, or increase their order.

If you choose not to take advantage of the AutoShip program, you could risk becoming “inactive.” This could happen by forgetting to place a manual order yourself or because you forgot to remind your customers to place a monthly order. A distributor who is not “active” will not accumulate BV points on their left or right legs of their binary organization – which means they would miss out on earning the 10% Group Volume Bonus!

To sign up for AutoShip, go to the Personal Orders tab in your BMS, then simply choose the quantity and start date and click on “Create AutoShip.” You can always alter the parameters of AutoShip such as the date, quantity, etc., at any time.

Enjoy the peace of mind as well as the convenience of Auto Ship! Set yours up today and let your customers know about this simple program as well.
