Jerry “JY” Yerke Fills In For Support Staff
V.P. of Sales, JY helped out at the Corporate offices by filling in for our vacationing Support Team and got a crash course in answering your questions!
The experience has left him a renewed passion and commitment to provide all Independent Distributors with the tools they need as well as the knowledge as to how to get them!
Every Independent Distributor should refer to their own Sponsor for the answers to questions regarding everyday items such as AutoShip, the Comp Plan, and instructions on how to manage their BMS. Additionally, the tools in the BMS Resource Center include the Lifemax Policies and Procedures which will help guide you as to your responsibilities and limitations as an Independent Distributor.
Before emailing or calling the Support team, your first stop for answers should be your Sponsor, your Sponsor’s Sponsor, the Lifemax Websites, or the Policies and Procedures.
Be a sponge! Absorb everything and anything you can so that you are better prepared as a Sponsor to pass it along to your downline!
Take Control Over Your Body
Have you been thinking about the area or areas of your life that are out of control? Have you figured out how to start the process of bringing forth change?
We all understand the importance of taking control over our lives but, for the most part, we don’t actually do it. This is partly because we don’t know HOW to do it.
It is my belief, that in order for us to make changes to or take control of our mind and lives, we must first control our flesh.
Our fleshly desires can be a beautiful thing, especially if they are desires such as eating healthy, exercising, drinking plenty of water, or getting the appropriate amount of rest. However, often times, we let our body control us instead of us controlling our body.
Now, be honest with yourself.
Have you let yourself get to the point where you let the comfort of the couch override your need for exercise? Have you consumed alcohol or puffed on cigarettes in excess, maybe just take the edge off or unwind? Do you constantly hit the drive-thru or opt for processed foods at the supermarket instead of nourishing your body with healthy, whole foods?
I can’t tell you how many times I have said “I’ll start to work out/eat healthy/quit drinking/etc.on Monday.” Then Monday comes and goes and then the next Monday comes and goes. Can anyone else relate?
We have to treat our bodies better if we want to feel better. Our flesh will, for the most part, take the path of least resistance. Your mind might WANT to exercise, but your body tells you that you are too tired. Your mind KNOWS that you need to eat more vegetables to maintain proper health, but your body craves cookies instead. You KNOW that you must drink water to hydrate yourself, but find yourself popping the top on a soda. Why do we sometimes listen to our body and let it override our mind?
I believe that this is due to habits formed over time and not taking control of our thoughts. How do we start taking control?
I think that it comes down to planning. We need to first make a list of the bad habits that we need to break in order to live a better, more balanced, and healthier life. This way, we can focus on letting our mind lead our bodies in the positive direction. This is just the beginning!
Here is to us getting both our bodies and minds under control.

Below is a copy of an email sent to our V.P. of Sales, Jerry “JY” Yerke after appearing at an event in South Carolina. He was so touched by the sentiments expressed that he wanted to share it and the importance of finding and defing you WHY.
JY,
I can not say enough about how truly honored I am to have been able to attend tonight’s meeting on Hilton Head Island, here in beautiful South Carolina. Aside from feeling completely at home with such an enthusiastic group of like-minded individuals, I was also inspired by the stories shared among those who attended! After meeting briefly with you and shaking your hand I would like to share with you my personal story in conjunction with my “why.”
My name is Gregory Scott Broome, and I am a 27 year-old young professional from South Carolina. Up until right now, this very moment, I have been searching for something. Never quite knowing what that something was, I tried everything. Everything so far has turned out to be nothing. And that is where Lifemax finds me today; with “no thing.” No one thing has been a constant in my life, aside from the love of my family and my faith in things not yet seen.Essentially, my “search” began at a young age. I owe every bit of my dreamer’s mentality to my father, Steve, and my passion for the happiness of those around me to my mother, Debbie. These two people have taught me two very different but equally potent values. One is that “plain talk is easily understood,” as my mother would say and “without a dream, man perishes” are the words of my father. I was fortunate enough to have my father as my football coach and mentor all four years of high school. Growing up was rich with community, a love of sports, the support to be a leader and a hunger to truly understand the opportunities given to each of us to share our love with those who are willing to receive it. These values have carried over into my adult life and my decision to enter every day with an open heart. It was that heart, open and willing to receive, in which granted me the opportunity to hear the message of Mila and Lifemax given to me by Dr. Jamey and Michelle Hanley.
Over two years ago, my father had a heart attack at 46 years old. I was there. I saw his discomfort. I drove the vehicle to the emergency room and I walked by his side into the building. I felt fear as I saw flashing red lights drive away my coach to the tune of sounding sirens that faded into the miles. This is when and where I made a decision. I chose to no longer accept that this was going to be my fate. My family history shows heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Sickness and disease are no friends, pain and hunger is not a choice, nor is debt a desire. I chose in that moment to change my future!
Over the past two years we, as a family, have been active in researching the benefits of incorporating antioxidants and omega’s into our diet. We have cut back on our saturated fats, been conscious of sugar intake, taken every vitamin, nutrient and supplement available on the market and in turn have sacrificed time and money along the way. TIME and MONEY are useless without HEALTH!
Mila, has not only improved the health of my family, but has also given us the opportunity to see our rich future with the amazing leadership that has been introduced to us through Lifemax. Never have I been surer that the vision of few will effect the lives of many. Mila is my something. What I have been looking for. It is true that if you let go and believe, you are open to receive!
My why? I do not accept that I can not control my future. I choose health. I choose to share my vision. I choose a debt free life with my beautiful family. FINANCIAL FREEDOM will come in TIME while sharing HEALTH with the world!
In closing I am a waiter at a local steakhouse. I will always be grateful that Jamie and Michelle thought enough of me that as customers in my section at the restaurant, they shared Lifemax, and the very next night were in the Living Room of my parents’ home. I will never pre-judge when sharing Lifemax and Mila. I will share it with everyone that is within 3 feet of me!
